Gunks Climbing is the reference guide for climbing in the Shawangunks, often called "the Gunks", one of the oldest climbing sites in the United States, with a history dating back to the 1930s. Located 80 miles north of New York City, it remains a haven for traditional climbers. Famous for its easier routes, the Gunks also offer a challenge to the most seasoned climbers.
This guide, entirely in color and meticulously researched, represents the "new generation" of Gunks guides, covering more than 600 routes in the main sectors: the Trapps and the Near Trapps.
