Underfoot, Scarpa uses a Vibram® Dynamis Trk Eco outsole with XS Trek Evo compound. This evolution of XS Trek has been reformulated to increase its coefficient of friction without compromising abrasion resistance. It also contains up to 30% recycled rubber, while maintaining the grip, stability, and durability needed when the terrain becomes unpredictable.

Its 2D PU midsole provides a structured platform for comfortably racking up the miles, while its waterproof and breathable construction adds extra protection when the weather or trail conditions worsen.

The BNT last determines the shoe's overall geometry. As always, fit also depends on foot width and volume, heel hold, as well as the space available in the forefoot, which is particularly important for comfort during long descents.

An approach incorporating more recycled materials

The Planet designation notably translates into the use of recycled materials in two important components:
