Its suede upper combines the light, agile feel of a trail running shoe with the support and protection of a hiking shoe. It therefore makes an excellent middle ground for long days of walking, technical trails, and hikers who find high-cut boots too bulky.
Its GORE-TEX® construction provides waterproof, breathable protection to handle wet trails and changing weather without turning the Rush Trail into a big traditional boot.
Underfoot, Scarpa uses its exclusive PRESA® outsole with IKS (Interactive Kinetic System) technology. Internal impact-absorbing domes are positioned in strategic ground-contact zones and function like small mechanical shock absorbers.
The SuperGum rubber compound provides the grip needed to move confidently across a variety of surfaces.
Finally, the DST – Dynamic Stabilizer Torsion frame supports the arch and wraps both sides of the heel. It helps stabilize the rearfoot and control torsion when the trail becomes rocky, rough, or uneven.

Comfort and trail performance
The Rush Trail GTX Women's aims to bring together two categories of shoes that normally meet quite different needs.
On the one hand, it borrows from the trail running shoe a lighter, more mobile, and more agile feel. On the other, it retains the structure, protection, and stability sought in a true hiking shoe.
Its low-cut construction also gives the ankle more freedom than a Rush TRK GTX. It is therefore particularly well suited to hikers who do not need a high collar, but who still want more underfoot support than with a traditional trail running shoe.

The IKS system integrates internal domes in certain strategic ground-contact areas. These function as mechanical shock absorbers, helping to manage impacts as the miles and terrain irregularities add up.
DST – Dynamic Stabilizer Torsion
