Lower, more agile, and more dynamic than the Rush TRK GTX, the Scarpa Rush Trail GTX Men's retains much of the support and traction of its big sister in a low-profile hiking shoe, ideal for moving quickly and comfortably on the trails.
Its 1.8 mm suede and fabric upper seeks the right balance between two worlds: the light, agile feel of a trail running shoe and the more structured protection of a hiking shoe. The result is a versatile model for those who want to venture beyond easy trails without necessarily wearing a high-cut boot.
Its waterproof and breathable construction makes it possible to tackle wet trails and changing weather with greater confidence, while the 3D Auto-Fit Ankle Collar uses stretch fabric around the ankle to create a soft, comfortable, and secure fit.
Underfoot, the exclusive PRESA® HIK-02 / SuperGum sole incorporates the IKS cushioning system. Internal domes are positioned in strategic ground-contact zones to act as mechanical shock absorbers and help absorb impact with every stride.
Scarpa also adds its DST - Dynamic Stabilizer Torsion frame, which supports the arch and wraps the sides of the heel to improve rearfoot stability and control torsion on uneven surfaces.
An excellent option for hikers who like the support of a hiking shoe but prefer the freedom of movement and agility of a low-cut model.

Comfort and trail performance
The key difference compared to the Rush TRK GTX lies in its low-cut construction. The Rush Trail GTX gives up the extra protection and support of a high collar in favor of a freer, more agile feel around the ankle.
It therefore offers an excellent compromise between a traditional hiking shoe and a trail running shoe: more structured and protective than a running shoe, yet less bulky than a hiking boot.
Its 3D Auto-Fit Ankle Collar uses a stretch fabric to comfortably conform to the ankle while helping support the foot.
Stability and control
DST – Dynamic Stabilizer Torsion
The DST frame supports the arch and wraps around both sides of the heel. This architecture improves rearfoot stability and torsional control, two features that are especially useful when stepping on rocks, roots, and uneven surfaces.
The Rush Trail GTX thus maintains a good level of stability despite its lower, more agile construction.
Cushioning and traction
IKS – Interactive Kinetic System
The IKS system uses internal domes positioned in certain key ground-contact zones. These work like mechanical shock absorbers, helping absorb impacts while walking.
PRESA® HIK-02 / SuperGum
The exclusive PRESA® outsole uses the SuperGum rubber compound to provide reliable grip on a variety of surfaces and terrain.
Combined with the 2D EVA-CM midsole, this construction is designed to offer a balance of cushioning, protection, traction, and responsiveness.
