Rugged, precise, and waterproof, the Scarpa Zodiac Plus GTX Women's is a mountain shoe designed for moderate alpine terrain where stability, protection, and precision remain essential, even when uncertain weather joins the adventure.
More supple and flexible than the Zodiac Tech, it nevertheless retains a high-performance, close-to-the-foot fit. It therefore offers an excellent compromise for long mountain approaches, technical hikes, and mountain adventures that require more support and protection than a lightweight approach shoe, without necessarily needing the rigidity of a more technical mountaineering boot.
Its GORE-TEX Performance Comfort membrane provides waterproof and breathable protection to keep feet dry when trails are wet or conditions deteriorate. The Sock-Fit DV construction, meanwhile, reduces excess volume around the foot to create a more precise, wraparound fit.
The 1.8 mm Perwanger suede upper is complemented by a rubber rand that protects the shoe from impacts and abrasion on rocky terrain. Its asymmetrical lacing system also allows for precise adjustment of support according to the shape of the foot.
Underfoot, Scarpa combines PU with triple-density EVA to optimize support, cushioning, weight, and performance. The Vibram® Drumlin / Mont outsole completes the package with the traction needed to move confidently across demanding mountain terrain.
Made in Italy, the Zodiac Plus GTX Women's is a serious shoe for those who like it when hiking becomes more technical and the trail gradually starts to resemble mountaineering.

Fit and performance
The Zodiac Plus GTX Women's features a performance-oriented fit with a relatively low profile, enhanced by the Sock-Fit DV construction and its asymmetrical lacing system. The goal is to provide precise support for moving efficiently over technical terrain rather than the bulkier feel of a traditional hiking boot.
However, it remains more flexible than the Zodiac Tech, making it better suited to long periods of walking and moderate mountain terrain.
As with any technical shoe, size alone is not enough to determine the right fit. Forefoot width, foot volume, heel shape, and the toe room needed on descents are also important.
