Designed to withstand intensive use such as can be encountered in the big wall of the same name, the Capitan is the high resistance Black Diamond helmet which offers additional protection on the sides and back, while maintaining a low-volume profile and optimal comfort level for long days. The Capitan features an ABS construction shell and optimized fit offered in two colorways. It combines EPP foam and an EPS foam shell that meets UIAA requirements for side and rear protection. The Capitan helmet's vents ensure great breathability in hot weather and the low-volume suspension system allows for a precise fit. Integrated headlamp hooks hold the elastic headband at the back for secure headlamp hold and easy nighttime progression.
