For mountaineers, the difficulty increases as the hours go by. As they gain altitude, the air density decreases while the nature of the terrain, weather conditions, and technical demands become increasingly challenging. The LOWA PRO team has therefore closely examined these unique conditions by leveraging the experience of its members, all from the elite of professional mountaineering. This is how the LOWA Alpine Ice GTX alpine boot was born: a versatile boot, whose interior and exterior were developed based on practical terrain knowledge.
This crampon-compatible model is suitable for various weather conditions thanks to its waterproof GORE-TEX membrane and elevated rockfall protection. The Alpine ICE GTX boot allows movement close to the ground, adapting to the terrain's condition and ensuring good movement transmission thanks to the thinness of its sole. Of course, LOWA did not only focus on the external qualities of the shoe but also on the interior part: its anatomical shape guarantees great comfort on all types of terrain encountered by mountaineers, from the foot of the mountain to the summit.
- Vibram sole. These soles with exceptional rubber blends offer impressive traction on various surfaces and, at the same time, optimal abrasion resistance. - Alpine design with medium profiling.
- "Climbing Zone" technology at the front of the sole for precise footing.
- Self-cleaning profile.
- Boot fully adapted to crampon attachment.
