Dive into the world of sport climbing on vertical volcanic rocks with sunny overhangs with the guide Big Chief Area Climbs. Located near Lake Tahoe, California, at 7,000 feet of elevation between Truckee and Tahoe, this place offers thrilling days.

Recognized as one of the best climbing sites in cool weather in the Tahoe region, it is accompanied by abundant camping. The volcanic rock offers an interesting alternative to the more typical granite of the region. Big Chief Area Climbs provides clear and concise information, verified and re-verified.

In fact, the author himself climbed almost every route to verify the accuracy of all the information!
