Designed to withstand intensive use such as encountered in the big wall of the same name, the Capitan is the high-resistance Black Diamond helmet that offers additional protection on the sides and back, while maintaining a low-profile and optimal comfort level for long days. The Capitan features an ABS shell with an optimized fit available in two colors. It combines EPP foam and an EPS foam shell that meets UIAA requirements for side and rear protection. The Capitan helmet's ventilation openings ensure great breathability in hot weather and the low-profile suspension system allows for precise adjustment. The integrated headlamp clips keep the elastic band at the back for reliable headlamp retention and easier nighttime progress.
