Camalot Z4 Chocks - Black Diamond

Born out of a candid discussion with BD’s top trad climbers—Hazel Findlay, Carlo Traversi, Sam Elias, and Babsi Zangerl—the Camalot Z4 is the fulfillment of a dream: to have a single-shank Camalot that remains rigid in the hand but becomes flexible once in place. Introducing the patent-pending RigidFlex shank. Thanks to its independently floating support cables, the Camalot Z4 does not flex when under tension or retracted, but once in place, it allows the shank to move, creating a hold that stays in place and does not shift when pulled in a specific direction. For larger sizes, the shank also features a double-twisted cable structure that provides uniform flexibility in all directions, while for smaller sizes, a single cable is used to prevent deformation when pulling hard on the trigger and to reduce the trigger’s bulk. With a head the same width as the previous model, the Camalot C3, but with four sandblasted cams for greater holding power, the Camalot Z4 is more than just an improved version. It’s also available in smaller sizes, ranging from size #0—our smallest Camalot ever made—up to size 0.75, allowing you to tailor your gear whether you’re searching for cracks at the summit or moving quickly and lightly through the Alps.
