Derived from a heart-to-heart discussion with top trad BD athletes Hazel Findlay, Carlo Traversi, Sam Elias and Babsi Zangerl, the Z4 Camalot is the fulfillment of a dream: to have a single-stem Camalot that remains rigid in the hand but becomes flexible once in place. Behold, the patent-pending RigidFlex upper. Thanks to its independently floating holding cables, the Camalot Z4 does not flex when under tension or retracted, but once in place, it allows the rod to move and achieve a mooring that stays in place and does not move. not when pulled in a certain direction. For the larger sizes the rod also has a double twisted cable structure which provides uniform flexibility in all directions, while for the smaller sizes a single cable is used to prevent its deformation by pulling hard on the trigger and to reduce the shutter volume. With the same width head as the old model, the Camalot C3, but with 4 sandblasted cams for better holding power, the Camalot Z4 isn't just an improved version. It's also available in smaller sizes, ranging from size #0, our smallest Camalot ever, down to size 0.75 allowing for gear tweaking whether you're looking for top cracks or progressing with lightness and speed in the Alps.
